My little Monster first look.

My little monster

by Robico

Mizutani is a self-absorbed overachiever, concerned only with maintaining the highest grades in school. Haru is an impulsive short tempered brute, who scares everyone with his explosive bursts of violence. Haru gets suspended on the first day of school when he encounters some bullies harassing a student and dispatches the bullies with great bloody violence. Mizutani is tasked with delivering school materials to Haru who interprets this as an act of friendship and latches on to Mizutani, much to her dismay. And so begins a strange and potentially combustible relationship! Summary form Goodreads.

My thoughts.

Well they seem like total opposites so this should work was my first thought when I read this. I mean opposites attract right. Mizutani seems likes she’s going to have her work cut out for her. Haru seems like a lot to handle. Seeing as he is impulsive and tempered. It will be interesting to see if Mizutani can stop thinking about herself and her grades long enough to actually deal with Haru. More importantly his offer of friendship. Because form the sound of it she doesn’t really know how to deal with friendship. But now that Haru has latched himself to her and doesn’t seem to want to let go she’s going to have to learn. It will be interesting to watch Mizutani learn.

  1. I already finished the manga. I really liked it! I like that Mizutani is not your typical weak crybaby. Haru is also very interesting. He looks good, but not the typical bishounen either. I also like the ending because it showed a very satisfying epilogue showing what happened to all the important characters, not only Mizutani & Haru, as adults. Have fun reading!
