Erika lied to her friends about having a boyfriend by showing a picture of an anonymous guy who turned out to be a schoolmate of hers and was shortly recognized by her friends. Their conversations then was overheard by the guy, Sata Kyouya. Erika went to explain and proposed her idea of faking as lovers. However, Sata who gave off the nice-charming feelings guy turns out to be a black prince and used her reasons to blackmail her instead. Summary from Goodreads.
My thoughts…
I thought this anime was pretty good. It wasn’t amazing but it was good and I liked it. But Kyouya I swear he takes the words jerk, idiot, and bipolar to whole new levels. I was mental banging my head against a wall during this anime because of him. Some of the thing she did were just… Wow and not in a good way some were but for the most part nope. I swear there were times where I was staring at him with a what are you doing look on my face. He is just a lot to handle I swear I don’t know Erika puts up with him sometimes. What I take that back I know why because he is blackmailing her. I swear what guy sees a girl in trouble and instead of helping her blackmails her?! All because of a lie she told. He didn’t have to blackmail her he could have just called her out on her lie but no. That’s not how Kyouya works his mind is a very interesting place. So what she said Kyouya was her boyfriend that doesn’t mean you go and do a thing like that Kyouya. Although he can be a jerk and meaner than a group of mean girls when they have just seen something they don’t like. He has his good points and a very good reason for why he is the way he is. That doesn’t make what he does okay but I get why. He had a very traumatic childhood that made it very hard for him to commit to anything or anyone. He doesn’t mean to hurt Erika he just doesn’t know how to be nice. Literally he had to learn to be nice over the course of the anime which was kind of funny to watch. He had his moments when he was staring to realize that maybe I do care for her and I should start being nicer to her. There were times where he was the sweetest person you will ever meet. He was so warm, nice, caring, and loving towards her. Then he would go back to being an ice prince. His hot and cold is just wow. Over the anime series Kyouya became less uptight I guess you could say and opened up more. He was able to give affection to Erika and show her that he loved her without making her want to go cry in a corner. One of the things that shocked him into action, that made him realize that he needs to shape up were… All the guys that helped Erika try to get Kyouya to like her and that ended up liking her. Because they admired her spirit and determination to make Kyouya love her. I loved their plans and attempts they made me laugh it was interesting to see Kyouya react too all of their attempts. Or how Erika reacted when her attempts and plans failed. Erika is a very strong heroine just for putting up with him in my opinion. She deserves a prize just for that. Erika is strong, determined as hell, smart, peppy, and a lovable person. Why her first love had to be so hard I don’t know but it all worked out which is what matters.
She stayed strong and proved Kyouya wrong. Overall I think this was a good anime. The plot was good, the characters were strong and very determined and well developed. Their journey over the course of the anime was cool to watch and see too. This anime was good it kept my attention and kept me interested. I liked it.
