Kimi no Sei, Vol. 01
by Sakura Iro, Ami Chatani (Illustrator)
Takaya has fallen in love at first sight with a girl he saw at his college. The only problem is that she happens to be Yurina, the girl he spent his elementary school days tormenting. While he hardly remembers her from those days, Yurina hates him with a passion.
She holds him responsible for all the lasting emotional and psychological scars that were caused by the years he made her life a living hell. Takaya hopes they’ll be able to move past their history and fall in love, but can Yurina ever feel anything for him but hatred and the desire for revenge? Summary from Goodreads.
My thoughts…
Well Takaya looks like you have some major making up and apologizing to do. Especially if he wants Yurina to fall in love with him. I don’t think Takaya is a bad person but more of a person who has just made… Some big mistakes in the past. That he probably didn’t care about at the time but is going to start to care about now. His past and future are mashing together in a way he didn’t think could ever happen. The girl he likes now is the girl he tormented back in the day and to her those days seem just like yesterday. I don’t know if Yurina will forgive Takaya or even let him try to apologize. I after what she had to go through it’s understandable if she doesn’t want to talk to him or see him ever again. But I think it would be good for them to at least become friends. That way Yurina will be able to move on and not always hate Takaya with a passion like she does now. Hatred and revenge are not the best things. I hope Yurina can look past those feelings she has and be able to see Takaya with new eyes and with an open heart. But I’ll just have to read the manga to find out if she ever does.
